How to get football tickets in Stockholm

Stockholm's three biggest clubs each sell tickets their own way. This guide points you at their official pages and sets out what to decide before you buy.

Start at the club's own site

Begin at the club's own website rather than a general marketplace. The club page is where the current sales channel, the seating map and the venue rules are published by the people who run the match, so it is the version most likely to be up to date when you arrive at the turnstile.

The pattern is the same at each club: find the club, follow the page the club itself links to, buy there. The links below go to those pages directly.

If a page selling you a ticket is not linked from the club's own site, treat it as resale. Clubs set their own rules on resold tickets, so check the club's terms before you pay.

Settle four things before checkout

  1. Which match, and which team. Clubs may field men's and women's sides at different grounds, so confirm you are on the right fixture list.
  2. Home end or away end. Away supporters are normally placed in a designated section, and clubs can restrict who buys where. Travelling with the away side usually means buying through the away club.
  3. Seated or standing. Sections differ in price, atmosphere and any age or group conditions; the club's seating information for that stand is the place to check.
  4. How many, and together. Adjacent seats sell out first at busy fixtures, so a late group booking may end up split.

What to check on the club's page

Policies change between seasons and sometimes between matches. Read these on the club's page for your specific fixture rather than relying on memory or an old screenshot:

  • Kick-off time and venue for that fixture.
  • Which sales channel is official, and whether tickets are sold on the day.
  • Bag rules and prohibited items.
  • Payment on site — check whether the venue takes cash or is card-only.
  • Accessible seating and companion tickets, which normally have their own booking route.
  • Family or alcohol-free sections, if you are attending with children.
  • Gate opening time and any advice on arriving early.

Djurgården is a useful worked example: the club's own "going to a match" page explains which ticket apps its tickets are delivered through and describes a family stand at 3Arena. Read the equivalent page for whichever club you are visiting — this is Djurgården's arrangement, not a general rule.

Timing your purchase

There is no single on-sale date across Swedish football, and clubs run their own priority arrangements for season-ticket holders and members. Check the on-sale information on the club's ticket page for the fixture you want.

If your trip is fixed and the match matters to you, buy as soon as general sale opens. If your dates are flexible, look at what is available in the week before you travel and pick the fixture around it. Kick-off times can move for broadcast and scheduling reasons, so re-check the time before booking non-refundable travel.

Mistakes worth avoiding

  • Buying for the right club but the wrong ground, where the men's and women's teams play at different venues.
  • Buying in a home section as a visibly away-supporting group, which some clubs do not permit.
  • Assuming a screenshot or PDF will scan when the club delivers tickets through an app. Install the app and log in before matchday.
  • Leaving accessible seating to the last minute — it is limited and usually booked separately.
  • Relying on a policy page from a previous season.
