AIK are in active discussions to sign Nigerian winger Angelo Agbejoye as they prepare for the anticipated departure of Zadok Yohanna to Brighton & Hove Albion.

According to Sky Sports, talks are ongoing between the Stockholm club and representatives of the 18-year-old, who currently plays for African Football Holding FC in Nigeria.

Agbejoye is no stranger to AIK, having impressed during a trial period with the club in summer 2025. Former recruitment chief Fredrik Wisur Hansen described the attacking midfielder as having a "nose for goals" and "speed," though no transfer materialized at that time.

The timing of AIK's renewed interest coincides with Yohanna reportedly agreeing personal terms with Premier League side Brighton, leaving the Allsvenskan club seeking a replacement for their talented attacker.

Agbejoye's desire to make the move to European football this summer has attracted attention from several clubs. FC Copenhagen are mentioned as competitors for his signature, while Portuguese giants Benfica are also reportedly monitoring the situation.

For AIK, securing Agbejoye would represent both a reunion with a familiar target and a strategic move to maintain their attacking options ahead of what appears to be an inevitable departure for Yohanna to England's top flight.
