AIK sporting director Miika Takkula has confirmed that the club's record-breaking sale of Zadok Yohanna to Brighton & Hove Albion will not change their summer transfer plans, despite the deal bringing in between 130-170 million SEK.

"This won't affect our plan to a high degree," Takkula said, speaking to Aftonbladet. The AIK executive described the past few days as intense due to the enormous interest surrounding the young winger.

Takkula emphasized that AIK had already established their summer strategy before the Brighton deal materialized. The substantial windfall will strengthen both the club's cash flow and equity, but the sporting director stressed the importance of sustainable investment over time.

The sale represents validation of AIK's long-term youth development strategy. The Stockholm club has given more playing time to U21 players than any other Allsvenskan side this season, with 27 percent of minutes going to young talents - a dramatic shift from finishing 12th in the same metric last year.

Takkula highlighted Yohanna's mentality as one of his greatest strengths and believes the winger has excellent prospects of breaking into Brighton's first team. The deal exemplifies AIK's business model of regular player sales to maintain financial stability.

Regular player sales will remain central to AIK's future strategy as they balance competitive ambitions with economic sustainability in Swedish football's top flight.
