BK Häcken winger Amor Layouni is set to leave the Allsvenskan club after agreeing personal terms with AEK Larnaca FC in Cyprus, according to Aftonbladet.
The 33-year-old right winger is expected to travel to Cyprus within the next few days to complete his medical examination and finalize the transfer. Layouni will then officially sign his contract with the Cypriot club, who finished second in their domestic league last season.
Layouni has been one of Häcken's key offensive players in recent years, making over 100 appearances for the Gothenburg-based club. This season, he has contributed one goal and four assists in the Allsvenskan campaign.
The experienced winger's contract with Häcken was set to expire, and despite the club's efforts to extend his deal over an extended period, negotiations failed to reach a successful conclusion.
Once the move is completed, Layouni will join AEK Larnaca as they prepare for the new season and their qualification campaign for the Europa Conference League. The Cypriot side is expected to resume training at the end of June.
Layouni becomes the latest player to depart Häcken, following the recent exit of Silas Andersen in what was described as a record transfer deal for the Swedish club.
