BK Häcken striker Silas Andersen is on the verge of completing a move to Portuguese champions Sporting CP in what could become one of the summer's biggest transfers from Swedish football.
According to Tipsbladet, the clubs have reached an agreement for the 21-year-old forward. The fixed transfer fee is reported at €7.5 million (approximately 80 million kronor), with an additional €2.5 million available in performance-related bonuses.
The total package could reach around 110 million kronor, making it one of the most lucrative departures from Allsvenskan in recent years. Häcken have also secured a sell-on clause as part of the deal, ensuring they benefit from any future transfer.
Andersen is expected to travel to Lisbon on Friday, with medical examinations scheduled for Saturday. The contract with Sporting is set to run until summer 2031, offering the young striker long-term security at one of Europe's established clubs.
Sporting CP, who are the reigning Portuguese champions, will provide Andersen with the opportunity to compete in European competitions and develop his career at the highest level. The move represents a significant step up from Swedish football for the promising forward.
For Häcken, the transfer represents excellent business for a player who has clearly impressed scouts from top European leagues with his performances in Allsvenskan.
