Malmö FF are preparing for a significant squad overhaul this summer, with veteran defender Jens Stryger Larsen among the players expected to depart the club.

According to Aftonbladet, the 35-year-old Danish international has attracted interest from clubs in Denmark, Turkey and Cyprus. The report suggests that if Stryger Larsen finds a suitable alternative, Malmö will not stand in his way.

The news comes as new sporting director Philip Berglund began his first day in his new role, with his primary focus on finding a replacement for departing manager Miguel Ángel Ramírez. Berglund also outlined plans to bring in three to four new players while allowing several current squad members to leave.

"We're looking at it now. But we probably won't get into phase immediately, it might take two windows. But I think we'll lose more players than we bring in this summer," Berglund said, speaking to Aftonbladet.

Stryger Larsen joined Malmö in January 2024 and his contract expires at the end of the current season. During his time at the club, the experienced defender has won both the Allsvenskan title and the Swedish Cup, adding to his impressive career trophy collection.
