Kalmar FF could be in line for a substantial financial boost following reports that former player Jacob Trenskow has attracted significant interest from major European clubs after his impressive season in the Netherlands.

The Danish winger, who moved from Kalmar to Heerenveen in 2024, has caught the eye of bigger clubs following a standout campaign that saw him score 13 league goals while also contributing in cup competitions and providing multiple assists.

"Ten percent plus something," chief scout Peter Swärdh confirmed when speaking about the sell-on clause Kalmar negotiated in the original transfer deal, according to Barometern.

With Transfermarkt currently valuing Trenskow at €7.5 million and the player having two years remaining on his Heerenveen contract, any potential sale could generate millions for the Allsvenskan club. The 25-year-old's performances have reportedly drawn attention from clubs with significantly larger budgets than his current Dutch employers.

Trenskow joined Kalmar FF in the summer of 2023 before making his move to the Eredivisie just one year later. The foresight shown by Kalmar in securing a sell-on clause could now prove to be a masterstroke, potentially providing crucial funds for the Swedish club's future transfer activities and development programs.
