Stroud tells agent to filter transfer offers during World Cup with Sweden
Swedish international wants to minimize distractions during tournament, only hearing about 'exceptional' opportunities on transfer market

Elliot Stroud has instructed his agent to filter out most transfer offers during Sweden's World Cup campaign, wanting to maintain complete focus on the tournament.
The Swedish international has told his representative to only contact him if something truly exceptional emerges in the transfer market. "Yes, something like that. So that not too much superfluous information reaches me," Stroud said about only being contacted regarding genuinely hot prospects, according to Fotbollskanalen.
Stroud described this as a deliberate decision to concentrate fully on the World Cup, with plans to address his club future after the tournament concludes. The player admitted he feels ready for a new challenge, stating: "It's clear that I feel ready to test something new."
However, Stroud refused to speculate on whether any potential move would happen this summer, winter, or further ahead. While acknowledging the World Cup could serve as a shop window for potential buyers, he emphasized that his focus remains on Sweden's results rather than his own market position.
Under Graham Potter's tactical plans, Stroud is competing for playing time on both flanks during the tournament. "A good player should be able to handle playing in multiple positions," Stroud explained, highlighting his versatility as Sweden prepare for their World Cup campaign.
