Sweden's World Cup preparations received a major boost as captain Victor Nilsson Lindelof returned to full training alongside the entire squad in Dallas.

The Manchester United defender was completely absent from Sweden's final warm-up match against Greece last week due to a muscle strain. The coaching staff opted to rest the star as a precautionary measure, leaving questions over his fitness for the tournament.

"Everyone is training," press officer Petra Thorén confirmed to Expressen.

During Sunday's initial training session in Dallas, Lindelof worked on an individual program alongside Benjamin Nygren, Anthony Elanga, and Alexander Bernhardsson. The quartet received treatment and participated in football-functional training rather than the full team session.

Nygren had limped off during the Greece match, while Elanga also caused injury concerns for the coaching staff. The fitness worries added to Sweden's pre-tournament anxieties as they prepared for their World Cup campaign.

However, Monday's first proper football training session saw all players participate without restriction, providing crucial relief for the Swedish camp. The positive news comes just days before Sweden's World Cup opener against Tunisia on Sunday, giving coach confidence that his key players will be available for selection.

Sweden will be hoping their captain can shake off any lingering fitness concerns as they aim to make an impact in what many consider a challenging group stage draw.
