Club history
GIF Sundsvall were founded in 1903 in the northern city of Sundsvall, making them one of the most northerly top-flight clubs in Sweden. The club has been a regular in the Allsvenskan but has also experienced periods in the lower divisions. Norrporten Arena provides one of Swedish football's most dramatic backdrops, with views of the Sundsvall mountains. GIF represent northern Sweden's football heritage.
